2008 5th Annual

OPENING CEREMONIES:   Five years and still going strong!  Dan O’Neill, MC for the Tournament was happy to once again congratulate players, volunteers and spectators on the monies raised through the Tournaments to date, emphasizing how the dollars raised through RACH Fund are making a difference!  This year, a Parry Sound Men’s Choir joined a group from the St. Peter’s Choir to sing Oh Canada; and Rachel’s four siblings – Adam, Aaron, Gillian & Jordan threw the Opening Pitch to each other..and the games began!

WEEKEND ACTIVITIES:   The 3 day Tournament with 32 teams, including a Friday night Fish Fry, two nights of live entertainment, the ever-popular Silent Auction, BBQ/Concession and the Beer Tent was another huge success!  The Fireworks display on Saturday night was enjoyed by everyone attending!

LIVE ENTERTAINMENT IN BEER TENT:  Friday Night – everyone enjoyed dancing to The Dirty Little Swing Thing and on Saturday night – Parry Sound’s own 8Minutes2Live (drummer Aaron Higgins – Rachel’s brother) rocked the night away to everyone’s delight!
